Welcome to the Allegory…

Writing those four, relatively simple words already took me 15 minutes to write. A personification of how heavily I am overthinking this entire blog … but without further adieu

The Allegory was a thought baby I came up with one day at the office. 

At my now old job, time often seemed to stand still, and in that stillness my mind would wander. I would think about the book I was reading. The hidden meanings behind the lines I had just read. I would think about the news and politics at the time. The purpose of society, work and money. About God and faith. 

But this wasn’t enough for me, thinking solely and independently only was not enough. I often use a journal to release some of my thoughts on paper. But even then the flow of thoughts only came from one mind.  Then one week I remember just having a week filled with great conversations. Great discussions which opened my mind to different perspectives and realities, beliefs and opinions. The Allegory then came to mind - 

A blog, a place in the cloud where writing could be expressed, where humanity and its beautiful creations can be discussed, appreciated and reflected on. A space for conversation on all things meaningful - including meaningfulness itself. 

So, in a nutshell that's what I aim the Allegory to be. 

If nothing else, the Allegory will be my own little expansive journal. 

But if you are reading this, I hope you find something new and exciting to learn about, or converse about.
